No idea..never heard of it.

But that link makes it sound like it's the celebration of shooting down an evil invader.

Congratulations! You just managed to piss-off, insult, and turn the stomachs of every former POW and their families.

Man, when the hole gets too deep you've gotta stop digging.

Since I'm a "liberal" and you're.......whatever it is you are, I'm doubtful that many on this board will support my disgust with you, but I've got to say.......that opinion is disgusting. And your reiterating it is downright stupid.
Ralph, you're either a damn good satirist troll, or your a goddam nut.

Rusty, there are multiple veterans on this board. Many of them learned as young men to not waste their time getting in pissing contests with skunks.

and concerning veterans , as I have said before , all 3 of my Uncles were veterans in ww2 as well as my Father and my one Uncle Micky is still in a grave over in France . My Dad was in the D Day invasion and I know none of my surviving Uncle war history . No one asked but my veteran status is no ones business . A guy that lived down the road operated a gas station and he climbed the cliffs at 'pont du hoc' as a Ranger and he sold me .22 shells as a 10 year old . I also grew up with kids that Fathers were in the war , either ww2 or korea and likely all my young male teachers were ww2 or Korean veterans . Funny thing is that I knew all these old 'Mister Dannys Dad' as Dannys DADS and not one , including my Dad ever made a big deal out of being a veteran . They just went to work , kissed MOM and fell asleep on the couch after supper .

Same here..my father, brother and many other relatives that were in the armed forces never talked about it..didn't walk around with WW2 veteran hats..they came home and went back to their life.

This seems to be another Texas thing..whether one has served in the military..or not..is how they seem to judge people..and to them it determines what you're allowed to have an opinion about.

One of the things that I noticed when I visited the Air Force Academy (twice) is that Texans have a unique military culture. That was made evident by the remarks of cadets from other states.

Ralph you're wrong. The astronaut is NOT Gabby's husband. It's her brother-in-law. You need to know your facts before you spout off drivel. Yes, Gabby's husband was an astronaut but is no longer one. But if my husband was killed by some nut, I'd probably be for gun control. Even though I know it won't help because there are many ways of killing people as we well know now.

Has it ever occured to you, Ralph, that if there were no volunteers, you taxes would be much more? You do realize that we don't have a draft anymore because of volunteers. Volunteers are the backbone of America and thank God for them! We know you didn't volunteer. And yes, I do think less of those who don't care enough about our country to volunteer or as Trump, avoided the draft. Did you avoid the draft? I know you won't answer that and that's your right.

unpaid volunteers with no taxpayer paid perks or authority over private Americans are fine if they are doing things like volunteer fire department or salvation army but they get annoying when they are able to patrol private parking lots writing tickets for people parked in handi capped parking or tickets for people smoking cigs too close to buildings . Course there should be no reserved handicapped parking in PRIVATE parking lots and no laws about smoking cigs except for rules made by private owners of private property Ann .

Why would you be for more gun control in that case? Suzanne Gratia-Hupp, after finding herself weaponless and helpless during the Luby's shooting, pushed for expanded gun rights.
