Re: More short silent comedies Sunday on Turner
Do you remember several years ago (long time ago) Kevin hosted a series of silent movies?
I taped a few and watched them.
One of the most amusing was named The Wind. It was all about the terrible wind in Texas and how the young lady from the east was coping (not coping) with marrying a man and moving to Texas. During the movie, several people warned her, "The wind in Texas will drive a woman crazy." It has become a family joke for us.
The film would show the star--a woman with HUGE eyes--looking half crazy with the wind blowing dust/sand everywhere. In one scene, the sand was about 4 ft. high against the front door.

TWO TARS is Laurel & Hardy. They were sailors from the Arizona. Pretty funny silent short. I don't know about the others. I recently read a book that mentioned 'The Wind'.
I feel like I'm parked diagonally in a parallel universe.
