Perhaps he has lost power in the rain.
My nephew lives a little north of Sanger and he has had 10" of rain and is stranded in his home. The roads are flooded all around him.

The storms started up loud and early, I left the house to go to East Texas at 5:30. The water was deep and wide, by the time I got to Lake Dallas I was out of the rain.
Got home a bit ago and most of the water is gone.
