Here in the Colorado mountains it came yesterday. Rained like a somebitch. This morning it's clear as a bell and 42 degrees here at about 10,000 feet. Glad I'm not an elk! Here's what it looks like.

I was watching a news program the other morning and a segment was done on our cooler summer. A "reputable" scientist from NYU came on and told us that the polar vortex was the cause of the north pole coming to pieces, shifting cooler weather to us in the summer. I have no idea is this is the case or not.
