Sorry, but you are eat up with the ignorant on this. The House of Hanover ended, and Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (changed to Windsor) began in 1901 because of patrilineal succession. Queen Victoria's son (Edward VII) belonged to his father's royal house, and that's why it changed in 1901. The current house is not only related, it is of direct and immediate dissent.
